Una Plyler Tidwell
Una Plyler Tidwell, 85, died Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Tidwell was born in Kershaw, SC, November 6, 1933, daughter to the late Luther and Azilee Moree Plyler. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Weldon, NC of over 20 years and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a strong belief in the Lord and hard work. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tidwell was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Tidwell.
Surviving are her children, Jackie Wheeler and husband, Glenn, Debbie Britt and husband, Sherrod, and Danny Tidwell, all of Severn; sister, Wanda Taylor and husband, Alvin, of Littleton; grandchildren, Celena Pope, Alana Pope and fiancée, Pernell Edwards, Devin Britt, Sarah Wells and husband, Neal, Michelle Stickel and husband, Clint; great grandchildren, Camden & Callie Edwards, Reese & Harper Stickel. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 7:00-8:30 pm at Askew Funeral & Cremation Service of Roanoke Rapids. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the chapel at Askew's beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids.
